Woah! What a crazy month it has been!! Not only did I get married and go on a honeymoon, I also moved offices! I am so ready to jump back in to my clients and getting out the best event planning tips and tricks but first let me tell you more about my wedding and new office location!
I have always told my clients that the wedding day goes by so fast, but it wasn’t until I woke up Sunday morning on September 2nd that I fully understood how fast it really goes! It was a whirlwind and I am dying to see the footage and photos so I can relive it all over again.
The number one piece of advice that I will give to my clients is to make sure you factor in some one on one time at some point during the night. Matthew and I did a first look, and had a sweet heart table. The first look was great because I was able to have a moment with him to calm my nerves before the ceremony, and having a sweetheart table allowed us to enjoy our dinner together.
Monday, September 3rd, we woke up bright and early and headed to the Richmond airport to catch our Flight to Jamaica. When we arrived at the resort, I was blown away by how stunning it was, and fell in love with our little “treehouse”! It was the perfect tropical paradise, and we have several new rum drink recipes to add to our collection!
As hard as it was to leave Jamaica, I was excited to come back to Williamsburg and check in with my brides. I also finalized details on my new office space and started packing up! The office is right off of Colonial Williamsburg, which is great since I do a lot of weddings at the Williamsburg Inn (my second home) and is within walking distance of so many great lunch and coffee spots! I moved both pieces of furniture from my home office, but now have space for an actual meeting table. So, brides, let’s get planning!
After a busy two weeks, my couples are married, I am all settled into my new diggs (with only a few finishing touches needed), and I am ready for the Fall season!
