I can't wait to see the love between Nancye and Alex come to life this Saturday at their Williamsburg Inn Wedding!! Nancye has been nothing but sweet through out this journey and I am excited to make her dreams come true.
Nancye is a team manger for an education consulting firm and Alex, a huge adrenaline junkie, is a project manager for a government contractor. They will be moving to Old Town Alexandria after the wedding where they will enjoy many date nights consisting of live music and theater. This may be their favorite date night due to the fact that they both studied vocal performance in college (spoiler alert!!)
Nancye and Alex met on a blind date, which they were both skeptical of. However, it clearly worked out! Alex will tell you that he was smitten from their very first date. He found as many excuses as possible to see Nancye from there on out, and she readily obliged.
We had all the heart eyes when we found out how Alex proposed! On Nancye's 30th birthday, Alex took her on a trip to celebrate. Ha created 30 cards, detailing reasons why he loved her. He gave these cards to Nancye throughout the day. The last card said "the craziest thing about all of this is that I could do this exercise on every one of your birthdays until we're 100 and never have to repeat a single thing, because there's so much I love about you." Alex began serenading Nancye with the words to "Something Good" from The Sound of Music, but the last stanza had some altered lyrics and talked about spending the rest of thier lives together. Alex then got down on one knee and popped the question and Nancye said a heartfelt "yes yes yes" through lots of happy tears.
A truly beautiful couple and love story will be celebrated this weekend and we just can not wait! Be sure to follow along on our stories for sneak peeks @nightanddayeevents!
