Carter and I sat down for lunch one day to plan out what she wanted to do. We had already purchased train tickets (my absolute favorite way to travel) and had booked the hotel. The agenda was all that was left. There were three things she knew right away she wanted to do. Obviously, we had to go see the Starry Night by Van Gogh at the MoMa (the wedding theme!), Strawberry Fields, John Lennon's memorial and she really wanted to go to The Beetle House, Tim Burtons restaurant.
We called to see if they happened to have a reservation for the timeframe we were there and they had ONE LEFT. So, we made that reservation and I began my timeline! We would be there for an evening, two full days and a morning. We decided on one activity a day, lunch and dinner. The Beetle House was one night's dinner, so we researched other places to have dinner and decided on Lucky Cheng's, a drag dinner!
Now that we had all the items for the agenda, of course I needed to plan out when we should do what when and what to wear! I figured we could do the MoMa on day one since I was secretly designing t-shirts for us to wear. That first day was also the drag dinner. Day two would be Central Park which is where Strawberry Fields is and also the Central Park Zoo, which I thought we could totally fit in! Then we would finish the evening with the Beetle House.
That just left our first night and breakfasts. I suggested that we just explore the city near our Hotel that night, find a place to eat dinner and buy breakfast items to eat in the hotel. Thus the timeline was complete! I added suggested outfits and estimated cost of everything and found the PERFECT image for the Starry Night theme trip to NYC- and what a blast we had!!
